π
Friday, November 21
π Faction Brewing β Alameda, CA
ποΈ Night Market: 5:00β9:00 PM
π Kamayan Dinner: 6:00β8:00 PM
πΆ Live Music by Native Elements: Begins at 7:00 PM
Slow Down. Gather Round. Feast Together.
Life moves fast. Between school drop-offs, work deadlines, weekend tournaments, and the constant scroll of βwhatβs next,β weβve forgotten what it feels like to truly share a meal.
The Just Us Γ Barkada Kamayan Potluck Dinner invites our community to pause, gather, and reconnect β to return to the warmth, laughter, and joyful chaos that feel like home. Itβs a night where food isnβt plated, itβs shared. Where banana leaves take the place of tablecloths, and utensils give way to connection.
Hosted by Malaya Botanicals in collaboration with Just Us Basketball, this event celebrates Filipino heritage, community, and the shared spirit of bayanihan.
WHAT TO EXPECT
πΏ The Longest Kamayan Table in the Bay! β overflowing with dishes sponsored by Filipino-owned restaurants, markets, and community kitchens that cook with soul.
πΆ Live Performance by Native Elements β Bay Area island reggae legends bringing good energy and rhythm to a night of cultural celebration.
ποΈ Night Market Vendors β bakers, artists, and small-business dreamers keeping Filipino tradition alive, one handmade creation at a time.
π Community in Every Bite β families, leaders, and neighbors coming together to celebrate culture, connection, and collective care.
π Purpose on the Plate β Proceeds support youth gym time, new equipment, and financial aid for players in the Just Us and Barkada Basketball programs β a registered 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization.
Your tax-deductible donation directly fuels opportunities for our young athletes to learn, grow, and compete β on and off the court.
π Global Giving β A portion of proceeds will also aid families affected by Typhoon Tino in the Philippines, helping rebuild lives through collective compassion.
WHY WE GATHER
Because community is the cure for chaos.
Because slowing down is an act of care.
Because when we eat together, we remember who we are β resilient, joyful, and rooted in love.
This isnβt just dinner.
Itβs a homecoming β Filipino style.
