MISSION

At Just Us Basketball, our mission is bigger than wins and losses. We use the game of basketball as a powerful tool to develop disciplined, confident, and purpose-driven young people while opening pathways for athletes to succeed on and off the court.

We are committed to providing a high-level basketball experience grounded in teamwork, accountability, and strong character. Every practice, training session, and competition is an opportunity to teach resilience, leadership, and responsibility.

Through competitive play, intentional mentorship, and culturally rooted programming, we support the whole athlete—mind, body, and character. Our initiatives create access to sport, promote wellness, strengthen identity, and empower youth to become leaders in their schools and communities.

As a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Just Us Basketball is fueled by families, coaches, and community partners who believe in the potential of every child. Together, we are not only developing skilled athletes—we are building pathways for opportunity and shaping the next generation of leaders who carry confidence, integrity, and purpose into their future.

CORE VALUES

Who We Are

Just Us Basketball is a youth development organization committed to building leaders through sport, creativity, and a healthy mindset. In the spirit of fostering an inclusive, fair, and just East Bay, our program has been shaped by years of listening, learning, and growing alongside the families and communities we serve.

Our approach is grounded in collaboration with youth, parents, and local leaders who understand both the challenges and strengths of our neighborhoods. Through basketball, mentorship, and cultural programming, we create spaces where young people feel seen, supported, and encouraged to lead with confidence and purpose.

We believe leadership is developed not only through competition, but through creativity, discipline, and emotional well-being. Each season reflects our commitment to nurturing the whole athlete—mind, body, and character—while opening pathways for young people to grow into healthy, resilient, and community-minded leaders.

At Just Us Basketball, lasting change begins with youth voice, collective action, and a shared belief in opportunity for every child.
