Cultural & Community Program

Barkada Basketball is a Filipino-American and multicultural initiative that integrates basketball with cultural education, family engagement, and community-based events. The program provides youth with opportunities to celebrate heritage, build cross-cultural understanding, and strengthen relationships with peers and families through shared athletic and cultural experiences.

Participants engage in organized basketball training and competition alongside cultural activities such as storytelling, heritage workshops, and community gatherings. This integrated approach promotes cultural pride, social connection, and mutual respect while creating an inclusive environment where youth from diverse backgrounds feel seen and valued.

Barkada Basketball strengthens both individual identity and community bonds by using sport as a platform for cultural expression, intergenerational learning, and collective belonging.
